Together with my dad and my wife, we built a small platform on the lake shore. At first, it was simply a place where we could sit closer to the water and enjoy fishing. Later, my wife surprised me with an Adirondack chair, which found its perfect home on the platform Since then, the platform has become more than just our project. People stop there to fish, drink coffee, watch the water, and feed the ducks. I often bring food for the ducks myself and visit the platform in the mornings. Building it took time and effort, but seeing others enjoy it has made it worthwhile. A small improvement to a place can create countless quiet moments for many different people.
