The lake near me has gradually been becoming overgrown with algae and aquatic plants. Over time, parts of it started looking more like a swamp than a lake. I decided to see if one person could make any noticeable difference. Over four days, during breaks from work, I filled and removed about 20 wheelbarrows of algae from the water. It is only a small part of the lake, and I know it is far from enough to solve the problem. But it was enough to make a visible difference and understand that improvement is possible.
