Two months ago on Koh Samui, a homeless man from Pakistan approached me and asked for help. He told me that his visa had expired, and he had no choice but to stay in Thailand illegally. For now, he is living at a Buddhist temple, helping in the kitchen, while trying to find work and save enough money to return home. Then he showed me his hand. It had severe burns, and he asked if I could help him buy medicine. I took him to a pharmacy, explained his situation to the pharmacist, and she recommended the treatment he needed. I bought all of the medication, plus a few extra items to help his hand heal faster. It wasn’t a huge act, but sometimes a small act of kindness can make a big difference in someone’s life. We never truly know what another person is going through. If we have the opportunity to help, even in a simple way, it can mean more than we realize. ❤️
